The Grove Blackboys

We are closedWith regret, as a result of the current pandemic, we are unable to open our doors to the general public with immediate effect. Our first priority must be the welfare, health and safety of our staff, loyal Customers and wider community.

We are looking into how we can use The Grove to support the community in this difficult time, so please watch for our posts on this page, Facebook and Twitter.

Many thanks to all our customers for your understanding and loyalty and we hope to be able to welcome you back soon. Stay Safe.

We are a Farmhouse Café and Community Hub that serves fresh homemade food and provides a welcoming place to meet. A number of local groups and organisations use The Grove and adjacent venue The Space for meetings and events.

As well as our cafe offering we stock a select range of confectionery, snacks and drinks, including local beer, wine and cider. We try to support local producers with bread, milk, cheese and eggs all coming from within a few miles of Blackboys. Our tea and coffee is all ethically sourced and our cakes, scones and tray bakes all made in our kitchen.

The Grove is located on beautiful Brownings Farm in the heart of the East Sussex countryside.

There are some lovely walks across the farm on public footpaths (please ask for directions)

April is National Pet Month. We thought we’d have some fun! If you would like to post a photo of your pet you could win yourself a cream tea for two at The Grove when we re-open. Please post your photo before midnight on Friday, 10 April, 2020. Judging for the cutest pet will take place on Saturday by our experienced judges Martha and Evie. To start you off here is a photo of our very own Daisy, who will be excluded from the competition. (To our staff: sadly we think it only fair that staff pets are excluded, sorry. However if you want to post a picture of your pet you're very welcome.) ... See MoreSee Less
